Islamic banking and Islamic finance have been in the news as Shariah-compliant banking products become more widely available in the West and as Islamic banks assume an innovative role in the East.
So what do we mean when we say “Islamic banking?” What are we talking about exactly? What about Islamic insurance, Islamic investment, Islamic mutual funds, Islamic mortgages? Are they really Islamic, and how do they work?
This website, Islamic Banking Info – IslamicBanking.info – will answer these questions, and will analyze the phenomenon of modern Islamic banking and Islamic finance, outline the various Islamic financial products that are now available, and discuss and how these Islamic economic models are changing the world of modern finance.
